Samsung Galaxy SL packs more features than many other phones in its range

Samsung has come up with the updated version of its popular Android smartphone i9000 Galaxy S. The next in the series is i9003 Galaxy SL with a brand new technology – super clear LCD screen. Display is not the only change in the new phone and it turns out that there several major modifications under the hood as well.

The display of Galaxy SL has been improved from SuperAMOLED to 4″ WVGA Super Clear LCD. Also the display is protected by Gorilla Glass. The CPU of the i9003 Galaxy version is also updated from Hummingbird CPU to 1GHz TI OMAP 3630 which is more powerful than previous one. Apart from this, the RAM used in this phone is 138MB up from the original Galaxy S. The all new Samsung phone runs on Android 2.2 Froyo operating system, which is easier to use and has brilliant user-friendly interface.

i9000 sibling. The weight is 131g which is 12g more than the Galaxy S. Still the new Samsung gadget sinks decently in the palm and is also convenient to hold on the ear. It is hard to notice these differenced from outside as both the Galaxy phones look similar in design.

Samsung i9003 Galaxy SL mobile phone has loaded with popular social networking applications, Google Search, Gmail, Google Talk, Maps, YouTube and other in-built apps. The rest of the features of the Samsung i9003 smartphone include an Accelerometer, Proximity Sensor and Digital compass.

The i9003 SL is equipped with 5 Megapixel camera with autofocus and a peek under the hood of SL reveals that it has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA, HSDPA, HSUPA, A-GPS, Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP, 16 GB internal storage expandable up to 32 GB, FM radio with RDS and 3.5 mm audio jack.

The bigger battery (1650mAh) does result in a talk time improvement – talk time is 15 hours in 2G and 7.5 hours in 3G. Standby time has also taken a hit and is now at 610 hours for 2G and 550 hours in 3G.
